Laterals With Accembly
Laterals with Assembly are essential internal components used in sand filters and water filtration systems to support and distribute water evenly during filtration and backwashing processes. The assembly consists of multiple lateral arms connected to a central hub or manifold, forming a structured system installed at the bottom of the filter tank.
The lateral arms are typically made from durable plastic (ABS/PP) or stainless steel and are designed with fine slots or perforations that allow filtered water to pass through while preventing the sand or filter media from escaping. During the filtration process, clean water flows through the media and enters the lateral slots, where it is collected and directed to the outlet through the central pipe.
During the backwashing cycle, water flows in the reverse direction through the laterals, helping to lift and clean the filter media by removing trapped dirt and particles.
Key Features
Strong and corrosion-resistant construction
Uniform water collection and distribution
Fine slots to prevent media loss
Easy installation and maintenance
Compatible with various sand filter sizes
Applications
Sand filtration systems
Water treatment plants
Swimming pool filtration systems
Industrial water filtration
Irrigation water treatment systems
Working Principle
Laterals with assembly work by collecting filtered water evenly from the filter bed and distributing backwash water uniformly during cleaning. The slotted design ensures efficient water flow while keeping the filtration media securely inside the tank.
